Text message opt-in
Last updated: October 2, 2026
VoteKiosk, a product of Inspiration and Trust Inc, sends one kind of text message: a one-time verification code that lets a voter open their ballot. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. This page shows exactly how a voter opts in.
1. Where the opt-in happens
An organization running an election gives each voter a link to that election's voting page at vote.votekiosk.com. Before the ballot opens, the voter is asked to verify who they are. If they choose verification by text message, they see the form below: they enter their mobile number, tick the consent box, and press Send my code. The button stays disabled until the box is ticked, and no text message is sent unless the voter does this.
The opt-in form, as the voter sees it
Consent is provided exclusively for Inspiration and Trust Inc to contact the voter with the one-time codes they request, not for any third party. Opting in to text messages is not a condition of voting: where the organization has provided an email address, the voter can choose to receive the code by email instead.
2. The message the voter receives
"123456 is your [organization name] voting code, valid 10 minutes. Do not share it. Reply STOP to opt out from Inspiration and Trust Inc."
